JoAnn was born March 1st, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Elizabeth and Edwin Abel.

She is survived by her mother Elizabeth, husband Wayne, Children, Kim and her husband Nick, Cristina, Brandon and his wife Shelli, and Shannon. Grandchildren, Preston, Nicholas, Kylie, Ryan and Jude. Her sweet dogs Templar, Sammy, Jagger, Rooney, Roxie and Lily. And numerous others both past and present that could not be in attendance today.

Our lasting memories of Joann are that of humbleness and respect; Joann is a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother. The memories that she leaves behind are simple.  They are sewn into a tapestry of loving recollections.  Joann is a diligent, passionate, pillar of strength who was unyielding in her support and love for her family.

As you sit here today please know that you warm our hearts and Joann cherished each and every one of you.  You see, we shared a common bond through Joann that we may not have recognized until today.  Just as she was a mother to us at home, Joann was also a caring matriarch to those of you from Tam International.  Joann cared about each of your dreams, and your families' needs to extraordinary detail above and beyond the ordinary.  Today and every day we are truly brothers and sisters as we join together in adoration for Joann.
