JoAnn Elizabeth Ostrowski Post passed away peacefully on June 3, 2020. JoAnn was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 10, 1934. She graduated from Wayne State University in 1956 with the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. She married John Walter Ostrowski on March 3, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. They lived in Rogers, Arkansas from 1966 to 1971, and subsequently moved to Houston, Texas with their young family. JoAnn loved to teach and taught pre-school, vacation bible school and Sunday school. She was an incredibly talented designer and made her own clothes, including her beautiful wedding dress and her daughters' many dance costumes. After John's death in 1989, she began teaching as a special education assistant in the Cy-Fair School District. She obtained her Texas Teacher Certificate in 1993 through coursework completed at the University of Houston and became a special education teacher. In 1996, JoAnn married Harold Post and spent 17 wonderful years together. Their time as members of First Presbyterian Church Tomball were some of their most memorable.

JoAnn was preceded in death by John Ostrowski, Harold Post, and her parents William & Edna Scammell. She is survived by her son Scott Ostrowski and wife Nola, daughter Sandra Vibrock and husband Tim, and daughter Susanne Heinzinger and husband Trevor; grandchildren Lauren Ostrowski, Taylor Ostrowski, Eric Vibrock, and John Vibrock.

Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Tomball at 11am Monday, June 8th with visitation services starting at 10am. Interment following at the Klein Memorial Park - Tomball.
