Obituary

Jo Ann Scott, affectionately known as "Jodie," was born March 13, 1963 in Tomball, Texas to the late Jeannie Ann Blackshear Scott and Clarence "Duke" Scott.  At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Salem United Methodist Church. Jodie was a graduate of Tomball High School. She had one son: George Michael Scott.

Jodie was a faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church and served as a layperson for many years. Her family was the center of her life.  She was full of life and was well known in the community by everyone.  She was a member of the Wild Bunch Trail Rider Club. She has touched a lot of lives. Jodie gave a lot and would give her last to her family and friends.

Jodie was employed as a clerk for Harris County PCT 4 for all of her adult life until her illness.  She had a kind and generous spirit and showed very little emotion. She was loved by all who knew her and on August 30, 2021 at 3:00 A.M. with family by her side, Jodie passed away peacefully at Hermann Memorial Hospital.

Jodie was preceded in death by her loving parents.  She is survived by her step-mother, Sandra Tyler-Scott; her son, George Michael; her three sisters, Mary Ann (Kim), Vanessa and Jackie (Gabrielle); and her brother, Alvis Wayne (Barbara);step-brothers and sisters, Claude (Belinda) Hall, Rick (Patricia) Hall, Danny (Michelle) Hall, Kenneth Hall, Floyd (Prudy) Hall, Vernon Hall (Deceased), Janice Taylor, Kim (Reggie) Tyler, Yvette Michelle (Carlster) Chatmon, Carolyn "Renee" (Robert) Jones, Evette (Christopher) Richards, Shawn (David) Daniel, Michael (Loretta) Tyler, Cherrie (Johnny "Jay", Deceased) Tyler; two nephews, Austin and Garrett; two nieces, Breonna and Kolby; four cousins Cassandra Bradley (Dion), Peyton Bradley, Alton and Milton; four aunts, Joe Nell Vick, Trina Ross, Lola (Marvin) Phillips, Wanda Fulton and Dorothy Wade and a host of uncles and many other loving relatives and friends

Cherishing Jodie's memories, along with her family are special friends and her extended family, Dr. Cotton and Marilyn Feray; Lance and Laura Feray and kids; Heather and Carl Bohan and kids; Jason and Arthur Borrego; Helen Stanford, Ann Renault (Mom) and Jennifer (Derek) Duknic.
