JoAnn Klesel Penman, 79 years old, of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday morning, December 6th, 2021, unexpectedly at home after her journey of treatments for Lung Cancer. She will be greatly missed.
JoAnn was born February 9th, 1942, in Houston, Tx and was the daughter of Joe Willie & Edna Klesel
She married the Love of her life, James "Jim" Penman, September 18, 1960.
They were Married for 59 Years until Jim passed away November 28th, 2018.
Her beautiful life will be cherished forever by their 3 children:
Daughter: Kelly Stavinoha – Husband, Mark
Son: Steve Penman – Wife, Helen
Son: Jimmy Penman
She has 5 Grandkids: Ryan Stavinoha, wife Jane – Kevin Stavinoha, wife Katie – Travis Stavinoha, wife Stacy - Kacie Penman & Tricia Penman.
She has 5 Great-Grandkids: Knox, Anthony, Karleigh, Bradley & Kamryn.
JoAnn has 2 Brothers - Halton "Bubba" Klesel & Darrell Klesel, wife Raquel, Nieces & Nephews & a large family full of cousins.
Pallbearers will be her Grandchildren & Darrell Klesel.
JoAnn was fortunate to stay home and raise her children when they were young, then went to work at Western Auto, then Fonville Jr. High & retired as Financial Secretary from Sam Houston High School. She has many fond memories & friends from those times.
JoAnn & Jim were both members & heavily involved in the setup of "Candle-Light League" Baseball Fields back when the kid's played sports. Starting it from ground up, with many long hours of field work, getting them ready, painting fences & working concession stand. She has a lot of amazing long-time friendships from there.
GO TEXANS, JoAnn loved her football team. No matter how they played she didn't want to miss a game on Sunday.
Her family wants to acknowledge the prayers, family, friends & all the medical professionals she met along this journey for their compassion & patience.
