Jo Ann Dill passed away peacefully in her family's company on July 2, 2023 at the age of 90 years. She was born on January 30, 1933, in Terrell, Texas to Daisy Mae Clay and George O. Campbell. Her happiest times as a child were with her Uncle Mike, Aunt Mollie, and their beloved Scottish terrier 'Scottie' in Terrell.

After graduation, she married her forever love, Vernon M. Dill. This would start her new life in the 'oil patch'. Their young family of three daughters were fortunate to travel the world as Vernon made his mark in his profession. They lived in many Texas locations; Melbourne, Australia; London, England; and traveled extensively throughout the world. Finally settling in Spring, Texas to start their own oil tool manufacturing plant.

Jo Ann's greatest love was spending time with her family. She loved her trips to the Northeast to visit family, leaf peep in Vermont and Maine, pick pumpkins in Connecticut, and watch her grandson's football games. She adored her trips to North Texas to watch her grandson's football and baseball games, and watch her granddaughter's horse-riding competitions. Austin was the destination for challenging tennis matches for her grandson and granddaughter, and the turkey trot (with the family dogs) was an annual tradition. She relished cooking for her family at home or hosting them at their ranch in West Texas. She loved the family football and basketball pick-up games, and loved present giving.

Jo Ann's faith was an integral part of her life. She was very involved in numerous churches during her life. She enjoyed volunteering her time and sharing her faith story.

After Vernon's death, she was blessed with a whole new set of friends at The Village at Gleannloch Farms. She met her partner-in-crime, Eddie Hubbard, who whisked her away for dancing, board games, puzzles, lovely lunches and enchanted evenings together.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Vernon M. Dill, her mother, Daisy Mae Clay, father, George O Campbell, and brother, George Campbell.

She leaves behind her three daughters Diana (James Duty), Karen Dill Linder, and Pam Dill. Grandchildren, Lindsey Johnston, Troy Davis, Matt Davis, Cody Linder, Spencer Linder, Cole Myers and Emma Myers. Her eight great grandchildren held a special place in her heart and she enjoyed sharing their pictures with her Villages friends. She was blessed with an extended family, granddaughters, Rebecca Vice, Megan LeCompte, and Sonorah Duty, along with five great grandchildren.

JoAnn was a founding member and treasurer for the fund. She was a strong advocate for education. Tax deductible donations will provide scholarships to applicants who qualify and are trying to advance or gain knowledge in their work specialty either college or vocational school.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Villages at Gleannloch Farms on Monday, July 10 at 10:00am with a reception following. A private family burial will be held later.
