Dr. Jo Ann Brown (ne Markov) died unexpectedly in her home on August 24th, 2019 in Spring, Texas at the age of 63. Jo Ann is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Will) Perry; grandsons, Grant Perry, Hudson Perry, Warren Perry, Rhett Perry, and Harrison Perry; sister, Melissa (Mickey) Hall; nieces, Emma (Joey) Martz and Sarah Hall; aunt Dorothy Bolvari; cousins Steve (Arlene) Staich, George Bolvari, Barbara (Pete) Bida; and many loving relatives and friends; she is preceded in death by her father Obrad Markov and Mother Helen Dorothy (Babe) Staich Markov; Uncle George Bolvari; and twin grandchildren, Brody and Savannah Perry. Jo Ann was born on July 1st, 1956 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Obrad Markov and Helen Dorothy (Babe) Staich Markov. She graduated from South Texas College of law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree, and from The University of Houston with a Masters in Education. After moving to Spring, Texas, Jo Ann began working for Sheldon Independent School District as a history teacher. She was a very loved teacher at C.E. King High School for many years and mentored many students and new teachers. She was a loving grandmother, and passionate teacher. A visitation will be held at 12pm with a funeral to follow at 2pm on Saturday September 14th, 2019 at Klein Funeral Home at 14711 FM-1488, Magnolia, Texas, 77354, with a graveside service to follow immediately in the memorial park at the same location.
