Obituary

Our beloved mother Jo Ann (Jo) Curtis Anderson went to be with our Lord on Saturday June 17th, 2023.   She was born in Houston, TX on February 13, 1937 to her parents Wesley Joseph and Anna Belle Curtis who passed on before her.  Jo Ann married Jimmy Davis and they had 2 daughters, Chere Ann and Katina Darlene.  They divorced and she later met and married Almond Eldean Anderson, also known to some as Baby Dean and then later Andy.  They had 2 daughters, Deanna Faye and Kristi Kay, and that completed their family.  She leaves many friends and family who she loved and who loved her.  Among them are her daughters, Tina Davis Hauck, Deanna Anderson Tew and son-in-law Justin, Kristi Anderson Easter and son-in-law Dave.  She has 6 grandchildren whom she was known to them as Memaw or Memall.  They are Jeremy, Angel, Crystal, Joshua, Madison, Bryce and Elijah.  She had many great grandchildren Chloe, Sebastian, Brecken, Hayes, Adalynne, Prema (on the way), Peyton, Hailey, Maxwell, Marlow, Monte and Mirabella.  She loved her Lord and Savior and would tell others about Him when she had the chance.  She lived her later years in independent living at the Heritage where she lived with her girls, Lulu and Piper, her 2 furry friends.  She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes as well as the entertainers they brought in.  She was known by her friends there as being very kind and sweet, but they would giggle and say 'watch out for the quiet ones'.  Mom's demeanor was typically quiet and laid back but occasionally, she would say something really funny and catch us by surprise. When she would get the giggles, we would all be laughing through our tears. Family members who have passed away before her include her husband, Almond Eldean Anderson, daughter Chere Ann Davis Carter, granddaughter Shawnna Carter Norsworthy, 2 great grandchildren, Brett and Brittany and son-in-law Ronnie Hauck.  She left this earth to be embrace in the arms of Jesus with her 3 daughters and 2 dogs by her side.  She will be truly missed but we know she is no longer suffering and is made whole.
