Jimmy Wayne Coon Sr. was born on November 10, 1947 and went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 14, 2021 at the age of 73.
He was one of four children born to Clarence and Mary Coon and was a beloved husband to Patricia for over fifty six years.
He loved country music, laughing and spending time with his family. He enjoyed trips to the family farm where he could ride around the pasture on his old Massey Ferguson. Jimmy stole Patricia's heart with those beautiful blue eyes. He then married his high school sweetheart at the young age of sixteen and began a family. He worked at the family dairy milking cows and later became a truck driver. He was known by fellow truckers and friends as "JimDandy". After fifty four years of rolling down the highway and working the night shift he retired in November 2019. Although he loved driving a truck he did not care for the time it took away from him with his family. He was known for having excellent work ethic, working two jobs and making sacrifices throughout his life in order to provide for the family he loved dearly. He touched the lives of many with his sweet smile and big heart. He truly was a big ole teddy bear. He fought a hard and courageous fight until the end all the while sneaking in a couple of phone calls and text messages to the love of his life. His wings were ready but our hearts were not.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his beloved son Jimmy Wayne Coon Jr. "Bo", parents Clarence and Mary, brother Clyde and sister Bobbye. He leaves behind his beloved wife Patricia, daughter Vicki and husband Vance Willis, son Clayton and girlfriend Gina VanMatre. Grandchildren Brandon Coon and wife Amber, Colton Coon and wife Chelsea, Cali Coon, Cody Willis and wife Taylor, Cameron Coon, Cole Coon, Corbin Coon and great granddaughter Juliana Coon. Sister Jo Ann and husband Charles Mahan, as well as numerous family members and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for everyone's love, support and prayers during this difficult time.
