Jimmy grew up in Victoria, Texas where he graduated from Victoria High School, after high school, he worked as a welder with his father. In his 20's he bought a small piece of land and built a horse stable and lived on sight and hosted many parties. He rode motorcycles all his life, from a dirt bike as a teenager to riding coast to coast on his Harley. Jimmy was a proud employee of CDI Engineering in Houston. He was a Senior Engineer specializing in piping design. Jimmy met Gina his solemate and fell in love and were together over 11 years. He loved his family which he spent endless hours with making memories and adventures.

Preceded in death by his father Jimmie Eugene Brooks, mother Betty Jean Reynolds Brooks. Survived by, wife Gina Lee Galloway, sons Preston Carl Brooks, John Mathew Galloway and wife Diane Marie Galloway, daughter, Lisa Rena Galloway, favorite aunt Janet Reynolds Reus, uncle Stephen John Reus, grandchildren, Jaydon Galloway, Emma Galloway and Ava Kristine Galloway.
