Jimmie Lawrence Paden, father of three, survived by his devoted daughter and constant companion, Catherine J. Paden Cook. Preceded in death by his two sons, Jimmie L. Paden Jr, passing in 2001 at the age of 37 and Michael E. Paden, passing at the age of 20 in 1990. He is also survived by Grandson Michael Lane and his sister Linda Paden Folson.

Jimmie was born, May 20, 1944, in Houston Texas. He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston. He married the following December which produced 3 strong healthy children.

While pursuing his dream job, he was employed by many companies, always having his natural born architectural inclination and creativity available influence his employment and occupation. He finally settled in as an inspector for the Highway Department, from which he later retired.

His beautiful home covered in vegetation and gorgeous plants was a reflection of his joy of the outdoors. He created his world from paper and pen, thru his actual construction of all the buildings, decks, arbors, and shelving at his home. All in all, he was precise in his designs and creative with his mind and hands, creating a warm atmosphere for himself and his loved ones.

The internet entertained and fed his sponge like mind, absorbing all the information and entertainment possible. In the last few months, he was even heard saying "Hey I can google that".

All his loved ones were heavily on his mind, as of late he reminisced old times and old friends almost every day, telling tales of days gone by, smiling and laughing with the good memories.

He will be truly missed by all that knew him, family & friends.
