Jimmie Dolores Jurischk (Sissie) was born September 30, 1947 to James and Annie Mae Kubichek in Bryan, Texas. Jimmie attended Bryan High school where she was awarded honors for outstanding industrial student. After high school Jimmie married Jimmy Edward Jurischk on January 26, 1968 in College Station, Texas. After marriage they would move to Houston, Texas to begin their life together.
In Houston, Jimmie would go to work for Burke's Upholstery, where she worked as a seamstress until 2017. There was no furniture that she couldn't make beautiful and made many lifelong friends in her work.
Jimmie's two passions were her faith in Jesus Christ and her family. She had two children Carrie Jurischk Bolt and Bradly Jurischk, and also sadly lost twins Jan and June in childbirth. Her comfort was knowing that she would see them again in the presence of Jesus one day. Jimmie loved spending time with her brothers and sisters, children, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren. She just loved her family. She was a true servant who loved to provide for others even if it meant sacrificing things for herself. She was a wonderful cook who loved to feed others. You couldn't go to her house without eating and there was always enough food to feed an army. Jimmie never had a bad thing to say about anyone. And none of her family can remember her ever saying a bad word. That being said she was feisty and if you frustrated her, she might tell you she was going to kick you in your hind end.
When Jimmie was diagnosed with cancer, she battled courageously trusting in her Savior Jesus to get her through each day and each challenge. She never asked why her or complained about her situation, she just took each day as they came facing them with the grace of God.
Jimmie gained her ultimate victory on January 8, 2021 when she closed her eyes in this world and opened them in the presence of Jesus.
Jimmie is proceeded in death by her husband Jimmy Jurischk, and their twins Jan and June. Her father James Kubichek, and mother Annie Mae Kubichek. Her brothers Robert (Bobby) Kubichek, and Billy Kubichek.
Jimmie is survived by her daughter Carrie Bolt and husband Jeff of College Station, Texas. Her son Brad Jurischk and wife Kim of Houston, Texas. Her brother David (Butch) Walker of Bryan, Texas, Sister Edna Stone of Bryan, Texas, Sister Deborah Jameson and husband Ed of Mansfield, Massachusetts, sister Karen Morsko and husband Billy of College Station, Texas.
