Jimmie Van Gerhart, Jr. age 59 of Tomball, Texas passed away on May 17, 2018 as Jesus took him into his arms with Jimmie smiling and a look of peace on his face. He fought a long and courageous battle against esophageal cancer. He was born on March 29, 1959 in Houston, Texas.

He married his soulmate and love of his life Louette in Wimberley, Texas. Jimmie was employed by Texas International/Continental Airlines/United Airlines on April 4, 1980. He had a successful 38 year career and was loved and admired by his coworkers. He also had a successful homebuilding business where he enjoyed building homes in Walden on Lake Conroe. His dream of living on the water came true when he and his wife moved into their bay house in February of 2017 in beautiful Tiki Island, Texas. He loved the sunrises and sunsets, and enjoyed watching the dolphins from the deck.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lyndia Mae Hildebrandt Gerhart and brother Joel Gerhart. Beloved Husband, cherished father, and adoring Grandpa. He is survived by his wife Louette, daughters Alicia Benz and husband Charles Benz of Cedar Park, Texas, Amber Black and husband Ryan Black of Round Rock, Texas, stepdaughters, Rachel Bowers of Tomball, Texas, Ashley Bowers and fiancé Noah Small of Spring, Texas. Nine grandchildren; Aubrey, Audrey, Carson, Ariella, Rylie, Asher, Adam, Gracelynn, and Brooklynn. Father Jimmie V Gerhart Sr, Brothers, John Gerhart and wife Yvonne of Montgomery, Texas, Julius Gerhart of Houston, Texas, Nephews, Jason Gerhart and Brandon Gerhart of Spring, Texas. Uncle Rueben Gerhart and wife Aunt Mary Schoppa Gerhart of Onalaska, Texas and several great nieces and nephews.
