Obituary

Jimmie Grayson Englett went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2025, just shy of his 84th birthday. He passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of his cherished family.

Born on April 19, 1941, in Arlington, Alabama. Jimmie was the beloved son of the late Judson and Margaret Englett. He is preceded in death by his parents, but leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and faith.

Jimmie is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn Faye Englett of 63 years of marriage: his children Todd Englett and wife Windy of Katy, Texas; Melissa Hyde of Spring, Texas; and Chris Englett and his wife Cassie of Tomball, Texas. He was a proud and loving Pawpaw to four grandchildren: Andrew and Brady Englett, and Jeffrey and Taylor Hyde. He is also survived by his brother Mickey Englett and wife Sarah of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

To those who knew and loved him, Jimmie was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and brother—he was the heart of the family. Affectionately known as Dad, Daddy, and Pawpaw, his gentle spirit, warm smile, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Jimmie had a deep love for the simple joys in life: casting a line while fishing, building and fixing things with his own hands, spending time in his yard, and cheering on his grandson Brady at the baseball field. His passion for carpentry and the outdoors was only surpassed by the love he had for his family.

His unwavering faith and steady presence will continue to be a guiding light for all who had the honor of knowing him. Jimmie lived a life full of kindness, humility, laughter, and love—a life well lived and deeply treasured.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
