Jim K. Jenkins 1939-2017 Jim K. Jenkins, 78, of Houston, Texas, passed away in his home on June 26, 2017. Jim is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jonnie Jenkins, daughter Jill Goff and her husband Joe, son Jeffrey Jenkins, and grandchildren Haley Goff, Ross Goff, and Sadie Jenkins, as well as a close-knit family of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Anne and Sidney Jenkins and sister Theresa Cuculic.

Originally from Austin, he started working at the age of 14, hanging venetian blinds, graduated from Austin High School in 1957, and served four years in the United States Air Force. He gained experience as a digital data and radar technician, which influenced his career mostly spent in telecommunications in the airline industry, working for Trans Texas Airways, Texas International Airlines, Continental Airlines, System One, and EDS.  After retiring in 2005, he frequently answered his phone, "Jenkins Sawdust Shop" and could be found in his garage, where he piddled and puttered and produced many family keepsakes. If not in his garage, he could be found at "The Lake", which was at Lake Travis, where many family memories were created.

His memorial service will be held at Klein Funeral Home – CyFair on Saturday, July 1st at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to the CyFair Volunteer Fire Department, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
