Jill Colleen Lamarque, age 49, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at her home in Magnolia, Texas. She was born January 7, 1968 in Dallas, Texas to Jim C. and Emily (Smith) Harris and was the younger of two children.
Jill enjoyed swimming, gymnastics, horseback riding and music. She loved family, friends and a good laugh. Jill graduated from Klein Forest High School and attended Stephen F. Austin University. She met John Charles Lamarque III in 2000 and they were married in May of 2001 in Slidell, Louisiana.
Jill is survived by her husband of 16 years, Charlie; son, Travis Howard of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and daughter, Shelby Martin of Houston. She is also survived by her parents Jim C. and Jan Harris of Houston and sister, Jan (John) Harris of Lubbock. Those left to mourn Jill's passing also include nephews, Hunter ( Ashley ) Harris and Keaton Harris of Lubbock. Two great-nephews, Parker and Bennett Harris will also miss their "Yaya" as will her faithful dogs, Outlaw and Nala. Jill was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Smith Thames and grandparents, Stella and Edward W. Smith and Peggy and Chester Harris.
Services for Jill are set for Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Faithbridge Church of Spring. A celebration of her life will follow at Raveneaux Country Club. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Abandoned Animal Rescue Foundation of Tomball or Child Advocates. We will miss Jill's contagious laugh, beautiful smile and we will always carry her in our hearts.
