Obituary

Jewell Lee Tittle, 79, went to fly with the angels on Thursday, September 9, 2021. She was born in Johnson City, TN to Tom and Ella Clyburn on June 14, 1942. She was one of 4 children, younger sister to Shirley Brown, and older sister to Dewey Clyburn and Lee Clyburn. She graduated high school and began her career within the public school system. She later started working as a secretary for various companies and met her husband, Kenneth Tittle in 1979. Ken swept Jewell off her feet and they moved to New Orleans, Louisiana with her children, Michelle and Mark. They eventually moved to Houston, Texas where they built a house and turned it into a loving home.  Jewell began working for McDermott International and moved up as an Executive Administrative Assistant where she retired after 26 years. She meticulously balanced her homelife and her successful career. She was a proud woman and loved decorating her home for every season. Jewell was an avid football fan. She was passionate about football, specifically the Tennessee Volunteers and Houston Texans. Ironically, her passing coincided with the NFL season opening day. We are sure she would have postponed her passing if she could or perhaps, she wanted to watch the game from above.

Jewell always enjoyed hosting and cooking for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She treasured her beautiful backyard and loved sitting on her swing. Some of her greatest joys were grilling and watching her family play volleyball and swim in the backyard. After retirement, her and husband moved into a Senior Living Community where she enjoyed reading her morning devotionals, working on puzzles and taking a stroll around the lake with her husband.

Jewell leaves to cherish her loving memory her husband, Kenneth Tittle, daughter, Michelle Mottern, son, Mark Mottern (Lori), stepson, Kenneth Tittle Jr. (Tina) and stepdaughter, Angela Engle, along with 10 grandchildren, David, Josh, Joe, Cody, Lauryn, Jarett, Matthew, Dylan, Andrew and Ryan. Jewell also had 19 great grandchildren.  May the Lord grant her eternal rest and may perpetual light shine upon her always.
