Garcia, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, retired Police Officer, and cherished son of Elida and Joe Garcia, who peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on October 1, 1958, Jessie lived a life filled with dedication, service, and love.
Jessie proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, embodying the values of honor and sacrifice. His commitment to service extended beyond his military duty as he joined the Houston Police Department on April 4, 1983, as a member of Academy Class #112. Throughout his illustrious career, Jessie served in various divisions including Northwest, North, and Central, leaving an indelible mark on the communities he served.
After years of unwavering dedication to protecting and serving his community, Jessie retired from the Houston Police Department on August 28, 2004, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, courage, and compassion.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jessie's greatest joy came from his role as a loving father and grandfather, devoted husband, and caring brother to Bobby, James, Roy, and Anna. He leaves behind his beloved wife Stacy L. Garcia and their cherished children: Stephanie Campbell, Joey Garcia Jr., Anthony Garcia, Kelsey Mireles, and Tori Swift. His love and guidance will forever resonate in the hearts of his 11 grandchildren, who were his absolute pride and joy.
Jessie will be fondly remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and unwavering commitment to his family and community. His legacy of service and love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
In honoring Jessie's life, let us celebrate the profound impact he made on those around him and carry forward his spirit of generosity, compassion, and dedication to making the world a better place.
