Jesse Roy Hart, Sr. born in Hawesville, KY on November 5, 1927 passed into the presence of
Jesus, his Savior, in Houston, TX on July 19, 2023 at the age of 95.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Edith Hart; brother and sisters: Charles, Elizabeth, Elnora, Arlene, Gladys, and Rosetta; and grandson-in-law, Theodore Flores IV. and special friends: Leonard Mattox and Roy Saunders.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Martha A. Hart, Sons: Jesse R. Hart, Jr. and wife Elizabeth; James F. Hart and wife Susan, Grandchildren: Dana Hart Flores, Devin Hart, Jennifer Hart, Kara Johnson and fiance Willie Welsh, Shelby Hart, and Joseph Wolf.Great Grandchildren: Joshua Flores and wife Joy, Caleb Flores and wife Christine, Amariah Flores, Taryn Flores, Tazmine Maradiaga and husband Favio, Levi Flores, Tyler Johnson,
Julianna Johnson, and Ahsoka Wolf. Great Great Grandchildren: Hezekiah Flores, Rosalie Maradiaga, Melody Flores, and Cielle Flores. Brothers: Arthur Hart and wife Waneta of Evansville, IN, and Frank Hart of Waycross, GA. Sister-in-law: Mary Nell Calfee of Lufkin, TX. Brother's-in-law: Dr. James D. Peeples and wife Ann of Hickory, NC, and Julian Peeples and wife Jane of Dalton, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jesse served the US army during WWII overseas in Germany. After graduating from College, he was ordained into the ministry of the Southern Baptist Church October 1956 in Evansville, IN. He loved Jesus, his family, and the Lord's work. Among his many special Bible verses is Phillippians 3:10,"That I may know HIM, and make HIM known". That was his heart's desire and he fulfilled that mission well. The Lord called him to Houston July 2, 1957 to serve in the Star of Hope Mission's substance abuse program. He and his family moved to Star of Hope
Ranch in Waller County where for almost 36 years he led hundreds of alcoholics to Christ. Retiring in 1994 to Montgomery, TX where for 25 years he served: on the chaplain team of the Tomball Hospital, as associate pastor at Walnut Creek Baptist Church, and with Martha served
weekly in 5 different nursing homes in the area until covid caused that to cease. Jesse and Martha loved serving the Lord together and were greatly blessed by God. His memory lives on in many hearts. To God be the Glory!
