Jerry Sue Dixon Jackson

1935-2022

Jerry Sue Dixon Jackson, age 86, of Houston passed away peacefully on Saturday, the 22 ^nd of January, 2022.  She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on the 17 ^th of December, 1935 to Esther O'Dell Dixon and Jerry Dixon.  She was the 7 ^th of eight children.  Her childhood was spent in Healdton, OK.  After graduating from Fox High School in Healdton, she moved to Houston Texas to work.  In 1961, she met the love of her life, Billy Frank Jackson of Houston, Texas.  They were married for 55 years until Bill's passing in 2016, and their marriage was a beautiful example of love and loyalty for family and friends.  They raised their two daughters on the north side of Houston and were active in their faith at Champion Forest Baptist Church.  Sue cherished her role as mother and wife and lived for friendship, laughter and meals together.  Sue would often be found in the kitchen preparing a meal for family and guests, playing tennis with special neighborhood friends, or volunteering with special friends at Champions Forest Baptist Church with Current Missions or The Gathering.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Jerry Dixon; husband, Billy Jackson; and six brothers and sisters, Carmalita Miller, PJ Dixon, Nancy Gilbreath, Eulliah Dixon, Troy Dixon and Bobby Dixon.  She is survived by her brother, James Dixon and wife Betty; sister-in-law Patty Dixon; two daughters Donna and Robert Harris, and Jeanne and Blake Pfeffer; and her adoring grandchildren, Avery and James Robson, Ben Pfeffer and spouse Cat Palmer, Grace Pfeffer, Suzanne Pfeffer, Annie Harris, Blake Pfeffer, Jr, Johane Harris and Emmanuel Harris; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be held Saturday, January 29 at two o'clock at Klein Funeral Home.  Internment will be immediately following the service at Klein Memorial Park in Spring.  A visitation will be Friday, January 28 from five o'clock to seven o'clock at Klein Funeral Home.
