Jerre was born April 3, 1929 in Webster Groves, Missouri, the 2nd of 4 children to Vincent and Mary Waddock. His mother gave him the nickname of "Mutz" and it stuck with him his whole life. He was known as Mutz by family, friends, nieces and nephews.

Jerre married Sally in 1956 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to raise their 4 kids: Margie, Jay, Michelle and Sally.

Over the course of Jerre's life he made many long-lasting friendships, personally and professionally. Jerre spent his career as a sales executive, primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry.  He was a world traveler and could tell you details and personal experiences about almost any country from Eastern & Western Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and the Middle East.  He enjoyed working and did finally retire for the "first time" at the age of 80, then worked as a consultant for a few years after.

In 1983, the Waddocks moved from Tulsa to their current home in Candelight Hills, Spring, TX. They had four grandchildren: Christopher, Andy, Kyle and Cameron. Sally passed away in 2001.

Jerre's greatest gift was his sense of humor. He was known for throwing out (sometimes) outrageous sayings and finding humor in almost any situation. He enjoyed wine, had a warm spirit, a booming voice and could talk to anyone. He was a huge sports fan, loved baseball, and knew intimate statistical details about the Cardinals and Astros.

Jerre was preceded in death by his mother Mary, father Vincent, brother Vincent, sister Cele, sister Nancy and his wife Sally. He is survived by his daughter Marguerite (Margie) Waddock; son Jerre (Jay) Waddock and wife Jennifer, daughter Michelle Roebuck and husband Steve, daughter Sally Hurst and husband Mark and grandsons Christopher Roebuck, Andrew Roebuck, Kyle Hurst and Cameron Hurst.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Klein Funeral Home, Champions, with the Rosary to begin at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Spring, followed by interment in Klein Memorial Park, FM 2920, Tomball.
