Jerome Bernard Borski, lovingly known as Jaja to his grandchildren, their friends and all young ones who crossed his path, passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 11:58 pm. He had been receiving treatment for gastric cancer. Jerome's parents, Josephine and Charles Borski and three siblings, Dorothy Klinger (Larry), Mary Borski, Father Charles Borski and double cousin Edward Borski preceded him in death. He is survived by Carol, his wife of 54 years; three daughters, Suzanne Robinson (Philip) of Fort Worth , Robyn Bertolino (James) of Cypress, and Crystal Borski of Tomball; three grandchildren, Landon Bertolino, Bailey Bertolino (fiancé Connor Kelly), and Parker Lewis; one sister, Anna Campo of Pearland; one brother, David Borski of Houston; many nieces and nephews; and, double cousins—brothers and sisters of the heart—Angie Johns (Darrell), Bernice Buchanan, Barbara Koschany (Carl), Marsha Borski (wife of Edward), James Borski, Kenny Borski (Valerie), and their children and grandchildren.

Jerome attended Christ the King Parochial School, Reagan High School and Sam Houston State Teachers College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a man of deep faith and a friend to everyone he met. He loved his large family and the many friends he made over the years. It was important to Jerome to keep in contact with his friends and family and he would often call each "just to check in." Even though he had a computer and cell phone, he kept the phone numbers of his dearest and old friends in his little tattered and worn address book.

From childhood, Jerome became a long-time member and supporter of the Variety Boys Club. As an adult, he became a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8960, Pearland, Texas. Jerome's love of family and country and western music led him to become the manager of the band, Western Cousins, whose members (James Borski, Edward Borski, David Borski, Freddie Foss, Paul Taylor and Bobby Petras) were all cousins and one longtime friend, respectively.

Jerome worked from college days to retirement at one company, Premier Printing. His love of the graphic arts industry led him to become a very active member of the Houston Litho Club.

Jerome was an avid sportsman with a love of the outdoors, including fishing, hunting and all organized sports. He was a member and the inspiration for what became the Dim Fiefelmann Barbecue Cooking Team. He enjoyed mentoring and supervising the young members and would compliment their good cooking with, "That's damn good!" In his last hours with us, his Dim Fiefelmann brothers and sisters came to watch the Texans game with him. Although he did not have much to say, he knew they were with him. Thanks guys, for loving him so much.

Jerome could often be found mowing a lawn, whether his, his children's, brothers', or grandchildren's. He could be seen enjoying his "happy hour", barbequing or just stopping by to visit strangers, family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor, wit and unmistakable presence. His family and friends will miss the caring and loving role-model that he was to so many people.

A Rosary and Visitation will be held for Jerome Bernard Borski at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Jerome's Funeral Mass will be held in the Mary Chapel of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Monday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m.
