Jerold "Jerry" Glen Cauthon of Magnolia TX passed from this life and has entered the Kingdom of Heaven on April 11, 2025. He was 87. Jerold was born to Claud Curtis Cauthon and Zella Mae Cargile on July 27, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Jerold worked as a pioneer in the computer industry for many years. He started with mainframe computers and punch cards, continuing to help program and develop them as they shrank to fit into pockets. He worked with a group of programmers on the Cirrus System, which later became the worldwide interbank Mastercard network. He also programmed the payroll system for Lear jet. He was a Systems Analyst for Nevada Power. He was proud of his successes in the business world.
As proud as he was in his secular success, he was prouder of his work for the Lord. The Cauthons worked as a team, co-pastoring and ministering in Paradise, California. They were generous and valiant in their efforts to win and help souls and they balanced each other. Jerry's gentle, but immoveable stability was the rock that created a foundation for the Paradise church. All who entered found themselves welcomed by Jerry's quiet smile and handshake in addition to Kay's more exuberant greeting. Jerry's attention to detail could be noted in everything he did to contribute to the ministry: from his scrupulous accuracy in the records to his meticulous maintenance and upkeep of the property.
Jerold is survived by his wife, Willena Kay Cauthon of nearly 70 years. They would be celebrating their 70th anniversary this June 18th. They were married in 1955. Jerold is also survived by his daughter Debrina and her husband Richard Elkins of Tomball Texas. He is also survived by his Son Glen Cauthon Jr. of Chico CA. Jerold had three grandchildren, Chris McDaniel and wife Misty of Magnolia, TX, Taylor Cauthon of Laporte TX, and Kiira Cauthon of Milane, TX. Jerold had 6 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren who were very beloved to him.
Jerold was preceded in death by his Father, Claud Cauthon, and Mother, Zella Mae Cauthon, his brother, Dale Cauthon, his son, Richard L. Cauthon, and grandson, Earl "Ray" McDaniel. They have been reunited in Heaven.
Jerold will be greatly missed.
