Jeralee Ann (Beagle) Ice was born on October 22, 1946, in Pasadena, California, to Gerald and Leola (Keltner) Beagle. She moved at a young age to the Sierra Nevadas, where an early love of nature took root and grew into a lifelong affection for Lake Tahoe, a place she returned to often in later years and always held close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joseph Alva Ice. She leaves behind her beloved sister, Claralynn Johanns, and brother in law, Robert Johanns. She enjoyed being a loving mother to Lori Lynn Ice and Joseph Aaron Ice. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Jack McEwen and Cindy Chen. She took joy in being in the lives of her nieces and great-niece and great-nephews.

After graduating from Van Wert High School in 1964, Jeralee pursued nursing school, guided by a deep compassion for others and inspired in part by her mother's illness. In nursing school, she met a young engineering student, fell in love, and soon married. Together they moved to Florida, where Jeralee completed her nursing education, began her career, and welcomed their first child, a daughter.

As her husband's career progressed, the family relocated to Toledo, Ohio, and he worked and attended graduate school. During this time, Jeralee gave birth to their second child, a son. Eventually, weary of long winters and heavy snow, the family accepted an opportunity to move to Houston, Texas. Here Jeralee settled into a home she would live in and cherish for the rest of her life. She was very active in her homeowners association for many years and cared for her neighbors.

In addition, her devotion to her family and her calling as a nurse, Jeralee embraced life with curiosity and enthusiasm. For many years, she was an avid tennis player, enjoying both the game and the friendships it fostered. She found great joy in bridge, a pursuit that kept her mind sharp and connected her to a vibrant community of friends. Jeralee treasured the opportunities to travel, visiting places around the world, including Taiwan, Canada, Hong Kong, Macau, and Belize.

She has now passed beyond the pearly gates, where she is reunited with her beloved husband, whom she missed dearly for the past 13 years, and with friends and family who journeyed ahead of her. Ever gentle and kind, she was surely welcomed by the joyful rush of wagging tails, faithful companions who once filled her days with love and now greet her again, whole and happy.
