Obituary

On December 23rd, 2016, our beloved mother, Jerry Lang passed into heaven to be with God and her husband, Wm. Gerry "Bill" Lang.  Born Jeral Dean Green, January 15, 1932 to her parents, John Thomas Green and Grace Beatrice (Thornton) Green in Breckenridge, Texas.

Jerry is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Jacqueline Marie (Green) Singleton. Jerry attended Reagan High School and graduated from San Jacinto High School Houston Texas, in June 1949. At age nineteen, Jerry met and fell in love with a handsome young engineer at Shell Oil Company, Bill Lang.  They were married March 30, 1951.  Jerry and Bill were blessed with six children, seventeen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren to date.  They are: Cheryl Marshall, Jock, Jennifer, Matt; Nancy Chaconas, Spiro, Michael, Demetrius, Anthony, Angelo; Suzanne Horne, Don, Ammie, Rob, Carrie-Lynn; Wm John Lang, Ashton, Gabrielle ; Christopher Todd, Susan, Thomas, Malia, Sam; Ashley Wagner, Curtis, Lauren, Clay, Kyle.

Jerry belonged to Shell Wives.  She loved to play bridge.  She had many dear friends that she played bridge with every week.

Jerry's family was everything to her.  Bill was her husband, lover and best friend.  The lives of her children brought much joy and happiness to her days.  She cooked many meals and washed many baskets of laundry in her 60 plus years of Motherhood.  Jerry taught her children the value of family, trust, honesty and respect for all of God's children.  Jerry made sure her children were dressed well for church.

The Lang family had several addresses.  Shell Oil Company moved them from Oklahoma City, to Casper Wyoming, Billings Montana, Denver Colorado, New Orleans and to Houston.  These travels re-enforced the bonds of family.  They could always rely on each other for love and support.

This family lived the American Dream.
