When you lose someone that you really love We don't have to live without them but live with all the Love that they have left behind Many Blessings. Giving God all Honor and Praise.
We come together to celebrate the life of our Queen Jennifer Drucilla Griffin Baker Wife, Mother, social worker, educator, foster mother went to her Kingdom December 17,2021 She was born 8/22/53 to Priscilla and James Wesley Griffin in Chicago Il who she precedes in Death. She passed in her home in Tomball Tx surrounded by her loving family.
In 1970 she married her childhood sweetheart John Lee Baker Sr. and for these past 53 years has always stayed by her side throughout her entire life he has always been dedicated and loyal to her.
They have 3 biological children John, Jennifer and Jonathan. And her grandchildren John Emmanuel Baker, Jonathan Baker Turner, Cynthia Peña Baker, John Peña Baker, Jabri Baker, JaNya Baker, JaMya Baker, Jeremiah Baker, Josiah Baker ,Joshua Peña Baker, Esperanza Peña Baker and Great Grandbaby Jordan Baker With her beautiful daughters in laws Sonja Peña Baker, Kadijah Omar Baker and Morgan McGrath Baker.
She constantly spread Gods Love by adopting 5 children John Edward Baker, Jennifer Marion Baker, Diamond Jennifer Jarmon Denettie JenJen Baker and Daniel John Baker and here Grandchildren Sky Baker, Larry Jarmon, DaMari Jarmon and Derion Jarmon Da'Koyta Baker, Da'Kyrie Baker, Jayden Lee Baker and hundreds of children that she shared herself and her home to through the Department of Children and Family Services in Chicago, IL.
She then begin to teach and train others in Chicago on how to become a foster parents and became a patient advocate for the State of IL.
In 1996she then received her BA in Psychology at Chicago State University. She continue to service her community and opening her home to more children through DCFS until 2007 when she relocated to Dickinson Tx.
After receiving her Masters in Psychology at the University of Houston, she unselfishly became the Youth Director at Pine Drive Church. She spent seamless time orchestrating plays and providing Backdrops, costumes, music , while sponsoring VBS and much much more.
She will always be remembered as Mom, Mrs. Baker, Aunt Jenny. Mother to any and all.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Drucilla Cox, Deanna Harper her brother Wesley Griffin, James Griffin.
She leaves behind her sisters Pricilla Archer, Jean Archie, Patricia Rich, Judy Fenner, Princetta Lyons , cousin Debbie Poole and brother Jamison Griffin.
With hundreds of nieces and nephews from both her and her husband ancestral line. Grand nieces, Grand nephews Cousins, distant relatives and many friends. She will be missed but Never Forgotten.
