Jennifer Louise Bailey Cotrino, age 49, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 15 ^th , 2021 in Tomball, Texas. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Luther Carroll Bailey and Janie Becton Bailey in July 1972.

Known as Jennie or "JB", she was always known for her strong-will, hospitality and love for entertaining, and infectious laugh. She grew up in Lubbock, Texas and attended Monterey High School where she was a member of the golf team, choir, church youth group, and the Dare to be Different Club. She loved to drive her silver Corvette and always had the coolest Hard Rock T-shirts.

Jennie then went on to attend Texas Tech University (Guns Up!) where she first majored in Business, later changing to Education. She was freshman college roommates with Susan Hardie in Stangel Hall, with Carrie Meinscher as an honorary roommate from across the hall. One night, Carrie decided to introduce Jennie to a friend of hers named Dan Cotrino, and after a couple of dates the two were inseparable. They would try to get classes together, and when they did Jennie always got better grades than Dan!

One month after Dan graduated from Texas Tech, Jennie and Dan were married in Lubbock, honeymooned in Jamaica, and soon moved to Tomball, Texas where they bought a small home on Claresholm Drive. Carson, their first-born, was born in March 1996 and Georgia, their second-born, was born in July 1998. Jennie's days were filled with making the most delicious meals, chasing two girls around, and driving them to every activity they were involved in. She ensured they grew up with manners, learned to read before Kindergarten, and, most importantly, shared her love for Bono with them. The family always traveled together and had great adventures – going to castles in the Czech Republic, beaches in South America, and racing a Porsche on the Autobahn.

Jennie will be remembered as warm, nurturing, stubborn, and the best Momma ever. She was someone who welcomed anyone into her home, would bring her homemade salad to any event, and always had the best sense of style. She came alive when music was playing – anything from U2 to the Gypsy Kings to Cinderella to The Lumineers.

Jennie will be remembered by her children, Carson and Georgia Cotrino; her former spouse Dan Cotrino; her parents Luther and Janie Bailey; her sister Mandi Bradley; her grandmother Eunice Becton; her significant other Jason Wright and his two sons; and nieces, nephews, friends, and family near and far.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 21 ^st , 2021 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas at 1:00 PM. Because this is a Celebration of Life, we are asking guests to not wear black if they choose so we can celebrate her beautiful, colorful personality.

We are asking for friends and family to bring any mementos that remind you of Jennie or is something she loved to be placed on a display table at the Celebration of Life.
