Jeffrey Posner,74, of Porter, Texas, passed from this life on April 3, 2026. He was born on April 8, 1951, to Frank and Myrle Posner in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Jeff or POP to those who knew him best, was raised in Mandeville, Louisiana, graduating from Mandeville High School in 1969. Jeff grew up with very little, a humble beginning that instilled in him a relentless work ethic and an appreciation for the simple things in life. As a young man he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1970 to serve his country and to provide for his family.
Following his service, Jeff built a life centered around family. He was a dedicated provider who, through grit and determination, attended Southeastern Louisiana University School of Engineering full time while working a full-time job and raising a family.
After a long career in the oil industry, he enjoyed many hobbies such as woodworking, cooking, painting and writing. He also shared a love of music that was instilled in his children. If he was not in his shop or painting, you could catch him watching the History Channel and occasionally watching football games where he would scream at the Texans for making the wrong play. He was smart, humorous, a loyal friend, stubborn and bossy at times but most importantly he was loving to his wife, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Deborah, children; Jennifer (& Jeff Wang), Jessica (& Tammy Jo), Brad (& Suzanne), Joshua (& Kelly) and Samantha (& Robert Jasso). His beautiful grandchildren; Colton, Brent (& Destiny), Blake, Riley, Tanner, Graham, Nathan, Savannah, Suzy, Tyler and Remington, and Great-Grandchildren Liam and Lillie along with his brother David Posner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Myrle Posner, father and mother-in-law, Jim and Joyce Ross, Grandson Camden and sister Cheryl Shriner.
