Jeffrey Charles Lee, 61, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2017 in his home.

Jeff was born on Tuesday, November 15, 1955 in Athens, Georgia.  He graduated Rossville High School in Rossville, Georgia in May, 1973, and received a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from North Texas University in Denton, Texas in 1980.  Steinbeck once sai d, " Texas is a state of mind. Texas is an obsession. Above all, Texas is a nation in every sense of the word." And that was certainly true for Jeff, for he became a Texan through and through.  After marrying Terri Sitrin in 1981, he moved to Houston to work for Tesoro Crude.  He worked in the business for 36 years before retiring in 2017.   In September 1987, he had his first daughter, Jessica, and 4.5 years later had a son, Daniel, in 1992.  He loved his family fiercely, and defended them loyally.  He raised his children to know right from wrong, how to clean a gun, change the oil, and build a bookshelf.  He instilled in his children a deep sense of work ethic with the constant refrain, "if you're gonna do somethin', do it right,"  and a passion for grilled red meat.  He loved his alligator boots, his politically-charged t-shirts, his John Deere hat, and his dogs.  He was a Southern man, through and through, who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Jessica Elaine Lee, and his son, Daniel Travis Lee; his Sister, Sandra Lee, and brother, Robert Lee; his nephew Alan Lee Viosca, and his nieces Rachel Ramirez-Spinks and Donna Lee.  He is preceded by his mother and father, Joanne and Robert Lee, and his sister Donna Elaine Lee.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, Texas, 77375.
