Jeffrey Scott Layer, a resident of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on Friday August 11th, at 56 years old.  Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, on May 11, 1967 and raised in the Philadelphia area, Jeff was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Jeff is survived by his parents, Carol E. Layer and Richard A. Layer, his wife Traci E. Layer, his daughter Jennifer A. Layer and step-daughters Katie E. Hernandez, Ashley N. D'Annunzio and Amber L. Poppell, his grandson Sebastián S. Rios, his brother and sister in law Richard T. Layer and Lynda D. Layer, his nephew Timothy W. Layer and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff was a Varsity Member of the undefeated 1982 Daniel Boone high school wrestling team, was a talented guitar player, vocalist, and song writer, and also a skilled carpenter who loved working with his hands. Jeff proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He attended his local church, loved sports and movies, and enjoyed Friday "Napkin Nights" with his wife and youngest step daughter. He was kind and so very loved by his friends, family, and community members.
