As we gather to honor the life of Jean Lavon Anderson Scott, we remember a remarkable woman whose journey began in the heart of Houston, Texas, on September 3, 1939, and reached its peaceful conclusion on August 24, 2023.

With heavy hearts, we remember Jean Anderson Scott, a dedicated police officer, loving mother, and cherished member of her community. Jean's life was a testament to her commitment to service and her devotion to family.

Jean's journey began in Cypress Texas where she attended Cyfair High School, setting the stage for a life characterized by integrity and determination. She pursued higher education at Sam Houston University, embodying a thirst for knowledge that defined her character.

Having completed her studies, Jean pursued a career in law enforcement, serving as a deputy constable with Precinct 5. Her legacy within the law enforcement community is one of professionalism and unwavering dedication to justice.

Jean's journey was deeply influenced by her family, and her loss is deeply felt. She was preceded in death by her father, Loys Stephen Anderson, Sr., her mother, Claudia Elzoria Anderson, and her sister, Barbara Anderson. She leaves behind her two surviving siblings, Deborah Clayton and Loys Stephen Anderson, as well as her sister-in-law, Pat Anderson. Together, they mourn the absence of their sister .

May she find eternal rest, knowing that her memory lives on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Jean's warmth and nurturing essence were evident from her earliest days, and as she grew, her love for animals and her passion for oil painting showcased her deep connection with the world around her.

Jean's journey extended far and wide. From her dedicated service as a police officer and deputy constable with Precinct 5, where she stood as a beacon of justice and safety, to her cherished role as a mother of three daughters: Pamela Smith, Tina McMillan, and Melissa Pantalacci. Additionally, she embraced her role as a grandmother to nine beloved grandchildren and a great-grandmother to seven cherished souls. Her best moments were spent rocking these babies.

One of Jean's most defining characteristics was her steadfast faith in Christianity, anchored in the teachings of the Bible. Her unwavering belief allowed her to face life's challenges with courage and grace, knowing that a heavenly reward awaited her beyond this world.

As we gather to celebrate Jean's life, we remember her radiant smile, her boundless love, and the enduring faith that guided her path. A memorial service will be held on September 2,2023  10:00am at Klein funeral home and memorial park, where we will pay tribute to the legacy she left behind.

Jean's memory lives on, forever etched in our hearts. As we bid her farewell from the earthly realm she knew, may she find the eternal peace she believed in, and may her life continue to inspire us to live with love, faith, and compassion.
