Houston – Jason B. Madison, 29, was ushered into the arms of his Heavenly Father shortly after midnight on Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Willowbrook Methodist Hospital.  Although deeply saddened by his sudden death, we all grieve with the hope that we will see him again!

Jason was born on May 17, 1994 in Houston, TX.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bobbie Madison, Sr., Blanche Madison, and Richard Montgomery.  In addition to his grandmother, Geneva Montgomery, Jason is survived by his wife, Brittany Michelle (Harris) Madison, daughter, Marlow Sage Madison, and son, James Benjamin Madison.  He is also survived by his mother, Rita Monique Bonner, father, Jerry Bernard Madison, Sr., his siblings, Ashley Holmes, Jerry Bernard Madison, Jr., Auroya Wallace, Amorie Wallace, and Antre'chelle Nova, his brother-in-law, Allen Nova, nephew, Axum Nova, and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jason graduated from Carver High School, Class of 2012 and immediately joined the work force while attending college on a part-time basis.  He excelled in various positions but found his true calling in the classroom – teaching and inspiring kids of all ages.  Jason was strong willed and stubborn at times but had an enormous heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He was also a committed disciple of Christ who worshipped and served faithfully as a member of the Decker Prairie Church of Christ.

While working as a manager at Chick-Fil-A, he obtained his Associate of Arts in Teaching degree.  He also met and fell in love with his future wife, Brittany. The couple married on June 27, 2020 and had two beautiful children together – Marlow (3) and James (6 months).

Shortly after their wedding, Jason was blessed with an opportunity to attend the University of Houston Downtown on a full-time basis in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He worked as a Student Teacher at Cypress Christian Elementary & Wunderlich Intermediate, excelling both in and out of the classroom.  But with only one semester remaining, Jason received a Cancer diagnosis in Mid-July and was unable to complete his studies.

He will be remembered for his love of music, his bear hugs, and the infectious smile he shared with family and friends. He truly loved each of you – and if you knew him, you knew it!

Finally, we would like to thank our extended community of friends for all the loving prayers and support that has been extended to this young family.  Jason is with the Lord!  So now we wait in faithful expectation as God's plan unfolds regarding the futures of Brittany, Marlow, and James (Jeremiah 29:11).
