It is with heavy hearts that we announce the funeral arrangements for Jason Kenneth Carson. Visitation will be on Friday July 27th from 5 – 8 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065. Funeral service will be Saturday July 28th at 10 am at the same location. A procession will follow to Klein Memorial Park at 14711 Cypress North Houston, Cypress, Texas 77429.

Our charismatic and beautiful son and brother died on Sunday morning. Jason would have turned 26 on August 4th. He was raised in a loving home with three sisters and a niece and nephews who live nearby. Outwardly, Jason looked like he had it all: intelligence, confidence, athletic ability, height, beautiful eyes, a broad smile, fantastic wit, and the ability to engage and forge a friendship with everyone he met. Inwardly, Jason was sensitive and had struggles that he hid well from his close-knit family.

We loved Jason with all of our hearts but we now know that was not enough to shield him from the pains in his world. This note isn't an attempt to assign blame for Jason's death. It's not to vent our anger and frustration at a world where alcohol can be as common as a daily drink of milk and depression masked and untreated can change the world around you. We write this obituary in hope that it may provide an insight to those that need to change their behavior - one night at a time.

Jason was a solid student, decent athlete, and a very loyal friend to everyone. With his seemingly endless positive traits, he had the potential to be anything from a captivating performer to an inspirational spokesman, but depression began to creep into Jason's life while he was in high school. When the darkness would come, his family would try to help him in every way possible to bring him back into the light. Although Jason could never completely find a way to release the pain he was in, his love and respect for his family was always strong.

While we always felt we had some grip on Jason's issues, his ability to hide and disguise his pain proved superior to our parental (and sibling's) sixth sense. The worry that we have felt watching Jason struggle, has been replaced by a deep feeling of loss that now exists knowing we will never see his smiling face again. Despite these troubles, we can smile knowing that the last time we spent with Jason was a dinner celebration for his younger sister's birthday, shopping at the mall and then just staying the night to spend time together.

To all children, these words are a simple reminder that there are people who love you with everything they have, and no matter what you do - don't be too afraid/ashamed/scared to ask for help. To all parents, pay attention to your children and the world that revolves around them - even when the surface is calm, the water may be turbulent just beneath. Jason's pain has ended. He is finally at peace. We will miss his keen sense of humor, his creativity and his rhythm on the dance floor.   We will miss watching him perform his energetic skits that brought smiles to children and adults alike. Jason was a true inspiration to everyone and was always encouraging others to pursue their own dreams.

Jason is preceded in death by his grandmothers Jan Carson and Bernadett Adamek.

He is survived by his parents, Gregg and Becky Carson. His grandparents Marvin, Gisela, and Ken (Sandy). His sisters, Nonnie (Chris), Brandie (Justin) and Amberly. Niece and nephews – Brianna (Micheal), Cody and Daxton. Aunts and Uncles – Doug (Jo Ellen), Glenn, Chris, Margaret (Ash), and Catherine (Bryan). Cousins – Hadley (Stuart and children), Adam (Olia), Quinn, DeJai, Jushwa, Candace (Adam), Ryan (Kayla), Nikita and Connor, and other extended family.
