Jared Brock Currie was born on December 5, 1980 in Houston, TX. On January 15, 2024, he passed away at his parents' home, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 43.
Brock was a true country boy who loved the outdoors and getting his hands dirty. He was always seen wearing blue jeans and boots.
Brock was very close to his brothers and they had a bond stronger than most. They loved each other dearly and enjoyed creating chaos for their mother, Helen.
Being the oldest and first Currie grandchild, Brock had a special bond with Pawpaw, Grandma, and all of his aunts and uncles. He was loved and doted on, and a little spoiled too. The passing of Pawpaw Currie was difficult for Brock but it is comforting to know they are now together.
Brock loved creating memories in Rosevine, Texas with his MawMaw and Pawpaw Ferguson, his aunts and uncles, and all 26 of his cousins. They enjoyed playing football, in MawMaw's yard. and as they got older, they enjoyed driving down dirt roads, listening to country music, and having a good time together.
Brock married the love of his life, Kelley, and they were blessed with three beautiful children - Little Brock, Brynlee, and Brett. Brock often said that Kelley was his rock and calming force. Their children were the joy of his life.
Brock loved making memories in Westwood Shores, hitting golf balls with the kids, riding the golf cart, and sharing many laughs with friends and family.
Although Brock was a man of few words, he was never too far behind with a sarcastic comment. He was loved by many and was a "what you see is what you get" kind of guy. There was nothing pretentious about him, and if you were lucky enough to be his friend, you knew you were loved.
You can never explain who Brock was in words. To know him was to love him and we all knew his heart
Brock leaves behind his beloved wife, Kelley, his children, Little Brock, Brynlee, and Brett; his parents, Kirk and Helen Currie; his brothers, Blake Currie & wife, Morgan and Blaine Currie; his grandmother, Sherri Currie; his aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Brock had a very large extended family and a large host of friends who will all cherish his memory.
