Janyce Dee Luda, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in Houston, Texas, just days before her 85th birthday. She was born on June 8, 1941, in Newton, Iowa, and lived a life full of love, creativity, faith, and devotion to others.

Janyce was the beloved wife of Dennis Luda, with whom she shared memories and companionship. She loved her children: Lesa Stevens and her husband David; Kevin Throckmorton and his wife Vicki; Kathy Timmons and her husband Jeff; Tanisha Voglesang (preceded in death); and Mathew Boudreaux and his husband Aurelian.

She was a proud grandmother to David Huck; Josh Huck and his wife Kristena; Kristian Branco; Lorren Hill and her husband Seth; Ethan Throckmorton and his wife Lucia; Madison Hubenak and her husband James; and Helena Boudreaux. Janyce was also blessed with great-grandchildren Matthew Branco, Micah Branco, and Colton Huck, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Janyce was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Van Gorp and Fred Holdsworth, as well as her daughter Tanisha Voglesang. She is survived by her siblings Ronald Holdsworth, Alan Holdsworth, and Joyce Larson.

A woman of many talents, Janyce had a remarkable gift for crafting and creating. She found joy in sewing, candle-making, miniature beadwork, jewelry design, and countless other creative pursuits. Her hands were rarely still, and her creations reflected both her skill and her generous spirit.

Janyce also had a deep love for nature, especially plants and flowers, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing and growing them. She treasured time spent with her family and found strength and purpose in her faith. A devoted member of her church, she served others whenever she could and led a heartfelt email ministry known as CITA4U (Christ Is the Answer for You), through which she shared prayers, encouragement, and hope with many.

Her adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, experiencing the beauty of the United States—from the shores of California to Key West, and from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast. These journeys reflected her appreciation for God's creation and her desire to experience the world around her.

Janyce will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely to her family, friends, and community. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.

She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
