Janie Scott

Janie Scott, 91, passed away on May 21, 2017 in Houston, Tx  She was born on October 20, 1925 at Brandon, TX and was preceded in death by her parents W. W. and Annie Vashti (Vassie) Harvey and her husband Robert Leslie Scott and son Leslie Eugene (Gene) Scott.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Fine and Janice Scott; a grandson, Matthew Fine and wife Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Madelyn Fine; a nephew, Harvey Toon and wife Freda; a niece and nephew and several grand nieces and nephews.

Janie was an active member of Cypress United Methodist Church since 1963 until her health declined.  The Janie Scott Printing Center in the Cy-Fair ISD was named for her after many years of service working in that department.

Visitation will be at 1 pm, Wednesday, May 24, at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX  77065, (832) 678-3900, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be on Thursday, May 25, at 11 am in the Brandon-Bynum Cemetery.
