Janice Laverne Warr

Born March 27th 1942 in Dr. Pope's office in Chickamauga Georgia to Mary Ruth Parrish (Taylor)

Died May 26th 2017 at Tomball Hospital, Tomball TX

Siblings: Ralph Travis Ellis jr(deceased) Thomas Randall Ellis and Terry Wayne Ellis

Husband: Marion Leon Warr (I don't remember date of marriage)

Children: Ralph Ladell Greene jr (deceased) Tamela Gaye Greene (married to Tim Kegley) and Kimberly Ann King (married to Stephen King)

Grandchildren: Michael Anthony Orr, Keri Leigh Parker, Amanda Sharie Harrell, Dale William Nuttall

GreatGrandchildren: Anastasia Janice Ma belline Perry, Skyy Rene Exline, Christopher Michael Parker jr

Step-children: Lon Warr, Lyn Warr and Lyn's daughter Stella

Various in-laws, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Janice worked as an Administrative Assistant and Executive Assistant for her career. She was fluent in sign language, having learned as a child from her cousin Jane Parrish who was also one of her close child hood friends.  She grew up in Chickamauga Georgia, where her family is from.  Her and her mother and stepfather lived for a short time in Chicago illinoise.

Janice was much loved by her family, including several nieces and nephews, some of which she named. She loved dogs and cats.  She owned horses when her kids were little and enjoyed riding.  She was an avid book reader.  She preferred westerns in her younger adult days.  Mother loved to sing.  She would sing old 50s rock music with her children.

Mother loved Houston. She loved the skyline of downtown Houston.  She loved texas sunsets and keemah and going to Galveston to the beach.  Mom loved the mountains most though I think.  Her favorite place in the whole world is the smokey mountains in Tennessee.  She was also an extraordinary decorator and seamstress.

She had a cosmetology license and owned her own beauty shop in her mid to late twenties.

She had several favorite dogs. Keisha was one of her favorites.  Scrappy from her childhood was her most favorite, but we don't have a picture of him.

She loved to travel. She loved to dress up and look nice.

She has been described as Classy by everyone that knew her.

A Poem of Remembrance

You will be missed

Each and every day

You will be missed

But that is not even the hard part

The hard part comes when you aren't missed every day

The hard part comes when we forget

Forget that you are not there any more

The hard part comes when we are living our normal life

Not crying or thinking about you

Just living our life

And then something happens

We see something

Or experience something

And our first thought is "I need to call mom and share this with her"

That is the hardest part when you remember she is gone

She is gone and you can't share your moments with her any more

I know you are in Heaven

I know you are not in pain any more

I am grateful for this

But you were Mom, Grandmother, GG (great grandmother), wife to Pops, friend to us all.

You were our best friend all our lives.

We will miss you so much and for the rest of our lives.
