Janice Carol Haygood of Spring, TX was granted her angel wings on June 25, 2019. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and lifelong friends that she touched in thousands of ways throughout her life of 70 years. She enjoyed the company of these people more than anything else in this world. Her hobby was her relationships, her children, brothers and sisters were her life, her friends were her joy, …she worked so hard at all of the things that she could do so well…she gave it ALL to everyone else…Every Day All the Time…

The back door of her home was always open for anyone to slip in at any point of the night or day. There was always a pot of coffee and her light was always on. On any given night, you might find her cutting hair, baking a cake, decorating floral arrangements, tying floral bows for hours and we might even go around the corner since we would now have a crowd & share a bucket of Hartz chicken, a dozen rolls & a jug of sweet tea with friends.

Our mom exceled at everything she did. She and our dad co-owned businesses in both Plainview & Houston, TX. She also put herself through Cosmetology School and opened her own beauty shop "Jan's Coiffures" in Plainview. When we relocated to Spring, TX, she continued hair styling for everyone in the family & in the church as well. She also later became famously known for her service to this community for over 40 years serving as wedding planning expertise and cake baker & designer. Everyone has a favorite one of her cakes. This whole town knows her name from the thousands of weddings she coordinated and lives she touched.

There was nothing she put her mind to that she could not do. She was a born natural leader with delegation skills of a master & combined with a Hogan work ethic, she had a tenacity and determination that was unmatched. Our mom had a fancy style, but she wasn't selfish in any way. She would give the shirt off of her back & give her last dime to be sure everyone else had what they needed first. She was the single most determined woman I've personally every known. She gained the most JOY and FULLFILLMENT in making someone else's day more beautiful.

When my mom had to handle so many caregiving duties to all of those around her that were seriously ill all at the same time. Again, she just did it. She is preceded in death by those that she cared for, her father Lewis David Hogan of Lubbock, TX, her mother, Martha Marie Stewart Hogan of Lubbock & Spring, TX, her father in law J.B. Baggett and mother in law Bonnie Baggett of Spring, TX, her middle brother Jerry Don Hogan of Lubbock, TX and most importantly, our dad, Emzy Dale Haygood, the love of her life and friend & light to all of our lives. She loved his music & they would sit and sing together at the piano bench on many a night. He was the one man that could calmly handle her whirl of work & settle everyone around with a calm that brought us all joy. She even delegated those coffee pot making skills to him & he cleaned candles by the hours while he watched football or movies. He just knew how to be her man and partner better than anyone else.

She has been a loving and giving mother to all of us kids throughout her whole life. Our parents married & we blended our family when we were all very young. Our mom would not hear of us or anyone else ever use words like "step", "half", we were just all sisters & brothers and daughters & sons. When Sherice & Brian were able to visit, it was like having friends over for sleepovers & we all loved each other…played in the gutters for crawdads…caught little tiny frogs…played dress up at Mimi's house, swam in the pool for days on end until we were crinkly and our hair was just chlorine filled.

1. Cynthia Sherice Stone & her husband Carl of Shallowater, TX. They have 3 children,
   1. Christopher Dane Haygood & his wife Brooke & their children Ian & Hope.
   2. Amber & her husband Kyle Patterson, their 2 children Wyatt & Rhett.
   3. Their son, Shane Stone

1. Sherilyn Marie & her husband Andrew Sanson of Spring, TX.
   1. Their son, Cole Hayden Baker

1. Clinton Brian Haygood, father to 2 sons Nick & Keagan Roberson
2. Shauna Le'Anne & her husband Scott Swisher of Cordova, TN. They have 2 sons:
   1. Corbin & his 2 children Cory and Makayla
   2. their son, Cameron Alexander Swisher

She is also survived by her siblings:

1. Sister Lillian and her husband Paul of Willis, TX and their daughter, Sha'rie and 2 grandchildren.
2. Wayne Hogan her brother & his wife Dorothea of Arlington, TX
   1. their son, Lewis & Rachel Hogan, their 3 sons & 1 daughter in love.
   2. their daughter Cheryl Denise Coghlan, her daughter & husband.
   3. her sister in love Patsy Hogan of Lubbock,
      1. Neices Shelley & Johnny Vestal, their children & grandchild
      2. Niece Shannon Paige & her children & grandchildren.
      3. Rene Methany Woods & her husband, children & grandchildren
      4. Cheryl & children & grandchildren
3. Her brother Rev. Robert Hogan, pastor of Spring First Church for 40 years, his wife Brenda Hogan,
   1. their daughter Kimberly Sha'lee & her husband Jason & their 2 daughters.
   2. Their son is David & his wife Amy Hogan and they also have 2 daughters.
