Janet Marie Swisher, 77, of Cypress Texas went
to be with our Lord and Savior at 5:42 am
Sunday, August 25, 2019.
She went peacefully at her home, surrounded by
her loving family after a long courageous battle
with Alzheimers Disease.
She was born March 10, 1942, in St. Louis
Missouri, to the late Otto and Bernice Bruns.
She married Robert Swisher October 20, 1962
in Houston, Texas.
She was the most beautiful, faithful, kind, and
selfless woman. In addition, she was a loving
daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother,
great grandmother, aunt and sister-in-law.
Janet was a longtime resident of the Cypress
community and a member of Christ The
Redeemer Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years,
Robert Swisher. Daughters Laura Redden
(Mike), Gail Rossett (Jerald), Elaine Nelson
(Shane), and son Eric Swisher (Jennifer).
Her sister Carol Krengle (Cliff), and fourteen
grandchildren Madelyn, Taylor, Marissa,
Brandt, Faith, Justin, Cassandra, Jerry, Ryan,
Reese, Hannah, Molly, Chesley, Lucas,
and two great-grandchildren McKenna and
Carter.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Otto
and Bernice Bruns, brothers Otto and David
Bruns and sister Lois Drake. sister-in-law
Virginia Bruns, brother-in-law Butch and
nephew Stephen Bruns.
Pallbearers include Jeremy Reimer, Mike Hinks,
Justin Rossett, Brandt Redden, Jerry Rossett,
and Lucas Swisher.
The family would like to express their sincere
appreciation to the many doctors and nurses at
Methodist Willowbrook Hospital for providing
excellent and compassionate care for Janet over
the years.
Also, special thanks to everyone at Heart to
Heart Hospice Care for your deep compassion
and making an extremely difficult time a little
easier.
Lastly, our heartfelt thanks to Lakesha Jackson
for providing such loving care for Janet.
