Obituary

Janet Carolyn Eberhart Robinson was born in Great Bend, Kansas, on October 29, 1934, to Homer and Laura Eberhart.

She grew up in Ellinwood, Kansas, a small central Kansas town where she attended Ellinwood Public Schools and graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1952. She met and dated her future husband, Ron Robinson.

Janet attended St. John's College, Winfield, Kansas, where she received her Associate of Arts degree in 1954. Ron and Janet were married on June 13, 1954. Both were 19 years old. They have now celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Janet had worked as a secretary in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so Ron could finish his education at the University of Tulsa. Both sons, Eddie and Craig, were born in Tulsa.

In 1962, the family moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. Janet immediately became very active at Atonement Lutheran School where she taught kindergarten for 11 years. In 1977, she and Ron moved to Spring and became members of Resurrection Lutheran Church. For the next 22 years, Janet volunteered as an Assistance Counselor at Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM).

Over the years, Janet participated in Ladies Bible classes, Sunday School, VBS, Seekers, LAFF, and IHN. She enjoyed square dancing for over 30 years, traveling, family, time in watching professional sports, as well as attending sporting events involving Eddie, Craig, grandchildren, and eventually some of the great-grandchildren.

Her activities gradually became more limited by her loss of vision (legally blind), afflicted with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis which severely limited her ability to breathe. Whe would frequently say, "Cannot breathe, cannot see, but in no pain; what a blessing and GOD IS GOOD!"

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Laura Eberhart, and brothers, Jerry Eberhart and Richard Eberhart.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Robinson; son, Eddie Robinson; son, Craig Robinson and daughter-in-law, Linda; granddaughter, Kristen and husband Matt Butler; grandson, Kyle and wife Andrea; granddaughter, Katelin and husband Charles Kennedy; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Jackson, Kaleb and Kaden; and sisters-in-law, Betty Eberhart and Marie Eberhart.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1612 Meadow Edge Lane, Spring, TX 77388.
