Janet Elizabeth Wehring Brown passed away unexpectedly at age 62 on Friday, August 1st, 2025 in Houston, Texas.

Janet was born October 7, 1962 in Houston, Texas to Douglas Wehring and Helen Huckabee Wehring.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Brown, who passed away in March 2024. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Dr. Claud L. Brown and Billie Kinsey Brown of Watkinsville, Georgia and her aunt Linda Wehring.

She is survived by her parents, Douglas and Helen Wehring; her two daughters, Nicole and Tiffany Brown; her brother James Wehring; her niece Bethany Wehring; her nephew Thomas Wehring; her sister-in-law Christine Ener; her aunt, Retha Reeves; her cousins Darcy Iverson and Bill Reeves; her uncle Travis Wehring; and her cousins Stephanie Wehring Torres and Jeanene De La Rosa.

Janet attended Stephan F Austin University and spent a few years as a proud accountant. But her greatest and most cherished role began when she became a mother to her two daughters. Choosing to stay home to dedicate herself fully to raising her family and creating a home full of love and growth. Janet was known for her kind heart and love for all. She not only was a mom to her daughters but became a second mom to many and protected and loved all who needed it.

Janet was a vibrant soul with a contagious energy that lit up every room she entered. She was never afraid to be herself — lively, talkative, and full of spirit. Her openness and warmth drew people to her effortlessly, and she had a unique gift for changing strangers into friends. Janet loved her family, including her fur-grandchildren, who she lovingly called herself "Glam-ma" for. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time in the sun at the beach or the poolside and being surrounded by the people she loved. Her laughter, stories, and bright personality will be missed deeply by all those who knew and loved her.

The love Janet had for her husband, Scott, was unwavering and profound. They were soulmates in every sense; there was no Janet without Scott and there was no Scott without Janet. He was absolutely everything to her, her protector, confidant, and rock. He cared for her endlessly with his quiet strength and boundless devotion, and she cherished him deeply. When she lost him to pancreatic cancer last March, a part of Janet was lost too. Life without Scott was never the same. While we mourn her passing, we find peace and comfort knowing they are reunited in the love that never left them in Heaven. They are both watching over and guiding their daughters from above.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 9, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Klein Funeral Home — CyFair Northwest, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, Texas 77065. Janet's funeral service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A graveside committal service will take place at 11:45 AM at Woodlawn Garden of Memories, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas 77055.
