Janet Myers Rogers Abele passed away November 14, 2019.  She was born April 12, 1940 in Albertville, Alabama to Carl and Vernice Myers.

Janet is survived by her husband, John Abele; daughters, Lisa Joan Pitarra and husband Frank, Jacqueline V. Landry and husband Zeb; son-in-law Tom Whitmire; grandchildren, Jamieson Whitmire, Angela Langenberg, Nicholas Pitarra, Patrick Pitarra, Charles Pitarra, and Christopher McGill.  Janet is also survived by lots and lots of great-grandkids and lots and lots of great in-laws.

She was preceded by her parents, daughter, Linda Jane Whitmire; son, James Leon McGill, Jr.; sisters, Nadine Chatam, Betty Edwards, Wanzie Madison and Connie Owens; grandson, Justin Allen Whitmire.

Janet loved her spending time with her big family, and eating country cooked meals like fried catfish  She liked to shop and she liked to dress up fancy, play bingo and lottery scratch offs, which she won a lot!!  Janet loved to talk about the old times in Alabama with her mama and sisters, including picking cotton,  5lbs for a nickel.

Janet was saved by Jesus Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart.  She also enjoyed listening to Jimmy Swaggart Preaching and Gospel Music.
