Jan Michael Rains, 76, left this Earth on November 5, 2016.  He spent 39 years as lineman and foreman for HL&P.  He enjoyed many things including golf, cars, motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, A.G. and Hortence Rains.  He is survived by his wife, Loretta Rains; children, Danielle and Kent Faught; Tia and Rich Schweitzer; Pam and Bud Slover and Jeff Saha; grandchildren Tyler and Sean Faught; Sara Schweitzer and Amber Slover and sister Sandra and Chuck Franco.  Services are Tuesday, November 15 at Klein Funeral Home; 9719 Wortham Blvd; Houston, TX with visitation from 9:30-11:00 with services following at 11:00 and burial following at Houston National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
