Jan Marie Googer, a native of Minneapolis and resident of Tomball, passed away in her home Friday, June 2. She was 63. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, nurse and friend, Jan leaves a legacy of sacrificial love and service. Though gone sooner than any hoped, her Lord, in His timing, has taken her home and given her rest. "In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety" (Psalm 4:8).

Jan is preceded in death by her father, James Godbold; survived by her husband of 40 years, John; brothers Jon and Jim Godbold; children Shana Manna, Hans and Dale; 10 grandchildren; and her mother, Joy Marsalis Godbold.
