Obituary

James (Jim) Alva Wilson, 82, passed away on August 9, 2018 at Methodist West Hospital, Houston, Texas. He was the husband of Nancy Jean Anderson Wilson. They shared 60 years of marriage together.
Born in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of James Arlington Wilson and Margaret Mae Krebs Wilson. He was a graduate of Spencerville High School. He served in the Navy Reserves. He was a Service Manager at several Chevrolet dealerships and a House Parent/Maintenance at Boys and Girls Country of Hockley, Texas.
He was a volunteer fire fighter achieving the rank of Assistant Fire Chief with 19 years of service at the Invincible Fire Department in Spencerville, Ohio. He was President of the Northwestern Ohio Volunteer Fireman's Association (one term). He was the Secretary of Central-Western Fireman's Association - Ohio. He was a paramedic and one of the founders of the Spencerville Rescue Squad, Spencerville, Ohio. He served as a deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, FBC Spencerville, Ohio and Royal Ambassador Director at FBC Crowley, Louisiana.  During 20 years of roller skating, he coached speed competition, participated in dance competition while also working at the skating rink .
He is survived by Nancy Jean Anderson Wilson. Brothers; George, Jerry (Marilyn), Joe (Judy), Bill (Glenda), Tom (Rita), Chuck (Bonnie). Sisters; Mary Wilson Kohli, Sally Wilson Denbow, Sandy Wilson Dearth.  Sisters-in-law; Barbara Wilson and Susie Wilson. Children; Larry Allen Wilson and Bryan & Valerie Wilson Fontenot. Grandchildren; Kristina, Faith Ann, Brandon, Tabitha Nicole, James II, Brianna, A.J., Devin, Christian, Priya, Lawson, and seven living outside the home; Tyler Alexander Wilson, Alexia Brooke Wilson; Shelby Lynn Fontenot and Peyton Cheyanne Fontenot. Seven Great Grandchildren.
He was predeceased by parents; James Arlington Wilson and Margaret Mae Krebs Wilson. Siblings; Paul Wilson, John Wilson, Carol Wilson Heil , Dave Wilson. Son; Courtney Jay Wilson and 14 Grandchildren.
The Memorial Service will be held at a future date to be announced.
