James Harmon Willyerd born August 7th, 1933 in Polk County near Mena, Arkansas, and passed away September 24, 2016. The youngest son of Floyd and Blanche Willyerd. His family moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1937 and lived there until 1942, when the family moved back to Polk County Arkansas for a short time before moving to Pine Ridge Community in Montgomery County Arkansas. Jim attended Fairfield Elementary School in Shreveport, then Pine Ridge Elementary and Oden Schools before the family moved back to Polk County Arkansas. There he attended Hatfield School from 1946 through 1951, graduating from Hatfield High School in 1951.

Jim moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1951 and worked briefly for Couch Motor Lines, a trucking company, from 1951 through 1953. He then worked for L&A Railway Company from 1953 through 1957. He began working for Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation in March 1957 and worked there until retirement in December 1988, transferring from Shreveport to Houston, Texas in 1974.

A Master Mason, raised August 23rd, 1963 at Queensborough Lodge #418 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The youngest son of eight children, having five sisters and two brothers. Jim was the last surviving of the siblings. Predeceased by his daughter, Laurie Willyerd who passed away at the age of 13 in 1968.

Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter and son-in-law Stefanie & John Arnold and daughter and son-in-law Talicia & James Breer, son Donald Willyerd, grandchildren, Brooke, Eddy, & Jessica Swanson, Christopher Willyerd, Zane & Cade Arnold.
