James Dee Washmon, 76 of Ft. Supply, OK and Houston, TX passed away Wednesday November 1st 2017.

im, or "JD" as his family called him, was born in Ft. Supply, OK, the oldest of four children born to Denny and Agnes Washmon. He put himself through college attending Northwestern in Alva, OK, where he double-majored in math and chemistry and went on to become a plant manager for several oil companies.
He also served honorably in the United States Army Reserve from 1964 to 1970, leaving with the rank of Staff Seargent.
After marrying, he and his wife were transferred around the Midwest for several years before finally settling in Houston. He went on to become the head chemist for Enterprise products company and remained there until his retirement.
His favorite moments were spent with his six grandchildren and family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marylind Washmon; son, Michael Washmon; daughter, Julie Stanford; and his six grandchildren, Valentine, Astrid, Carl, London, Phinley, and Kai. He was preceded in death by his father, James Denny Washmon; his mother, Agnes Guyer Washmon; sister, Madeline Washmon; and brother, Jimmy Washmon.
Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Klein Memorial Park, FM 2920, Tomball.
