James found peace and joy in life's simple pleasures. He spent many serene afternoons sailing his beloved boat on Lake Dardanelle, where the wind and water gave him a sense of freedom and calm. His passion for music led him to serve faithfully as the organist at St. John's Church, where his playing brought comfort and inspiration to all who listened. His melodies will echo in the hearts of the congregation for years to come.
At home, James was most content with his hands in the soil, tending to his garden. Whether growing vibrant flowers or a bed of fresh vegetables, he nurtured each plant with the same care and patience he gave to those around him.
James was a proud and loving father to his sons Tim, Tracy, and Troy Vogt, and to his daughter Lela TenEyck. His wisdom, warmth, and quiet strength shaped their lives and will continue to guide them every day.
He is survived by his four children, Tim (Emma), Tracy (Sherrie), Troy (Lynn), and Lela (Aron); seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and his sister, Carol and brother Bob. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mary.
