James Joseph Tumlinson passed away suddenly in his home on the morning of March 8, 2018, he was 73 years old.

James was born on June 28, 1944 in Geneva, Nebraska to Eddie and Evelyn Tumlinson.  After moving to Texas he graduated in 1963 from Louise High School in Louise, Texas.  He attended Wharton County Junior College and was then drafted into the United States Marine Corps. In 1965.  In 1967 he was deployed to Vietnam and stationed in Da Nang until 1968.  In 1970 he received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Sergeant.

Upon returning to Texas he attended classes at U of H to continue his education in Electronics, which helped him further his career in companies like Daniels Industry, Compaq/Hewlett Packard and SWE - Southwest Electronics from which he retired in 2016.

Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing and hunting, woodworking, photography, gardening, and travel.  But his true passion was racquetball which he enjoyed almost every day up until the end.

James is preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Evelyn Tumlinson and his half brother Alan Tumlinson and his step brother Vernon Magnia.

He is survived by his wife Pauline Tumlinson of Tomball, Texas, his son Scott and wife Jacqueline of Katy, Texas, step daughters Julianna Bigelow of Tomball, Texas and Jennifer Monaghan and husband Fraser of Scotland, his brother Edwin Tumlinson of Houston, Texas, his sister Barbara Brown of Pearland, Texas, step sister Janice Magnia of Tomball, Texas, two grandchildren, six step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.  As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  And last but certainly not least his beloved dachshund Rottie.

James' final resting place will be the Houston National Cemetery.
