James Charles Temple, beloved husband, father and grandpa; transitioned on October 15, 2020. He is well remembered for his love of family and service to the community. James was a Vietnam Veteran and received two Bronze Stars with Oak Leaf Clusters for Bravery in Combat. Acts that saved the lives of those in his platoon under fire during two tours of Vietnam.
As a civilian, James was a leader in the organizations that he worked for while continuing his education.
As a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's Seminary, James pastored churches in the Central Texas area. After retiring and moving to Houston with his family, he continued serving others by inspiring patients who were waiting for a heart transplant.
James is survived by his wife Barbara Temple, daughter, Tweaka Dilek and grandson Jayden Dilek.
