James Stafford Page, 84, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12, 2023.
Jim was humble, kind, gentle and caring. He will be remembered for being a loving, family man. His family honored and loved him dearly. Jim was interested in the welfare of other people. He was also known for his quick, dry wit. He amused and surprised those around him with his humor until the end.
Jim was born September 10, 1939, in Houston, Texas to B.W. Page and Margaret (Thompson) Page. After graduating from Cornell College, Jim moved to Chicago, Illinois, to work at Standard Oil. In Chicago, he met Carole Erickson, who was a nursing student at the time. They were married on September 5, 1964. They had a lifelong commitment of love and care for each other. They had their first daughter, Pamela, in 1966 and second daughter, Jill, in 1970. Jim was a wonderful and supportive father. In 1973, the family moved to the Houston area for Jim's new job at Gulf Oil. Jim was thrilled to return to his beloved Texas! He later worked as an information systems manager for the City of Houston, where he retired in 2003.
Some of the things that Jim enjoyed were playing tennis and racquetball. In addition, Jim and Carole loved spending time at their ranch near Hempstead. They especially enjoyed the time with their grandchildren and family. You could often find Jim and Carole walking the property with a horse, a donkey, some sheep, goats, dogs, and cats following in a line. Jim never met a stray animal that he wouldn't care for. He gave so many animals a second chance at life.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carole Ruth (Erickson) Page; daughter, Pamela (Steven) Osborne, daughter, Jill (Scott) Coleman; granddaughter, Jessica (Brad) Cavnar, grandson, Jacob (Baylie) Osborne, granddaughter, Lauren (Tagg) Taylor, granddaughter, Page Coleman, grandson, Luke Coleman, granddaughter, Kate Coleman; great grandsons, Clayton Cavnar, Colt Cavnar, and James Osborne; sister Pamela (Jan) Fjeld-Hansen.
Including his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Page, sister Patricia Luers.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, from 1 PM to 2 PM at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main Street Tomball, Texas 77375. Funeral Services will be held immediately following at 2 PM at Klein Funeral Home, with REV. Brent Johnson officiating. Interment to follow in Klein Memorial Park 2920.
Serving as pallbearers are Steve Osborne, Scott Coleman, Brad Cavnar, Jacob Osborne, Tagg Taylor, and Luke Coleman.
